The news was reported by Chinese state news agency , Xinhua, reported that during the flight as passengers, including journalists and government officials, were able to observe and photograph the strange object that has suddenly joined the air. It was 18.00 on February 24, 2009 when a group of journalists on board a jetliner of Eastern Airlines have noticed a strange luminous object fly parallel to their plane. The journalists then alerted some security officers on board and the other passengers. One of them even managed to take some pictures of the object before it disappeared in a northerly direction.
